Johnson Controls is hiring a Mechanical Fire Protection Engineer to work in our Cranston RI location.

What you will do

Primary responsibilities include fire modeling to support and inform engineering decisions related to new product development.

Also, develop product or system concepts and detailed designs, as directed; prototype generation and testing to international standards; maintain records of design process in accordance with sound design practice and ISO requirements.

What you will need

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Must have working knowledge of Fire Dynamic Simulator. (FDS).

Working knowledge of FireFoam and industry experience including demonstrated knowledge of fire dynamics, detection and suppression systems, combustion principles, and commodity classification is a bonus.
